Mattamy poker run for YMCA Local m otorcycle enthusiasts are invited to rev up for the 4th annual Mattamy Homes Ride fo r the Y poker run. Local riders will be joining hundreds of others, plus the OPP Golden Helmets and major prize sponsors Dewalt Tools and Panasonic, to help make this year's event, on Sept. 7, a roaring success. Participants will travel a designated route, picking up playing cards along the way, with the best poker hand col lected winning the day. The fee of $35 per bike is a great value, with breakfast, lunch and live entertainment included in the program. Entrance fees are waived for riders who bring in more than $50 in sponsor ship. Riders who collect the highest dol lar value pledges as well as those amass ing the greatest number o f pledges will win large, thanks to Dewalt and Panasonic. The event is generously supported by Mattamy's suppliers and friends, as well as friends of the YMCA. Participants can register between 9 and 10:30 a.m. at Alice Fazooli's Italian Crabshack at 2015 Winston Park Dr. exit Winston Churchill Boulevard at Plymouth Drive north of the QEW, south of Dundas/Hwy. 5 in Oakville. Funds raised will directly support the Fee Assistance Program at the YMCA of Oakville. Since it began in 2000, this event has ensured that 550 youngsters participate in YMCA programs such as sum m er cam p, the Y 's outstanding Youth Basketball Program, P.A. day programs, martial arts classes and more.
