FRESH OYSTERS UVE CRAB UVE LOBSTER STEAKS FRESH FISH CHICKEN DAILY SEAFOOD SPECIALS FIS 335 Kerr St., Oakville (9 0 5 ) 8 4 9 - 9 8 9 8 nsH 60 ivtvc/> Saddle up, there's a new restaurant in town sure to tempt your taste buds with a menu that includes mouth watering ribs and " simply the best" fajitas anywhere. After 17 successful years at the Texas Longhorn Caf£ in Mississauga, the owners decided it was time to branch out west (no pun intended) with the opening of The Tin Star Texas Grille in Oakville this July. Tin Star puts its emphasis on Texas-style dining experience with some Mexican cuisine thrown in for good measure. The restaurant uses only Triple AAA meats, the freshest of produce and their kitchen is artificial flavour and MSG FREE. And they caution customers to remember that their meals are always TEXAS SIZE, so you'll never leave the table hungry. Tin Star is the home of the Awesome Blossom - start your meal with this battered, deep-fried to perfection Spanish onion, which is served with BBQ sauce. Follow up with their one. or both, of their specialties - fajitas and steak. In fact. Tin Star claims to have to best fajitas around and " double Texas-dares you to find out fer yerself that we ain't no tall-tale tellers!'1 The chef tenderly marinates skirt steak and chicken, which is served on a sizzling bed of sweet Spanish onions and topped with peppers, the freshest fixings (sour cream, homemade guacamole. Pico de Gallo, jack cheese and lettuce) and cholesterol-free flour tortilla to put together your own personal-like version of down-on-the-range-fajita-feeding-ftenzy! Served with refried beans and Spanish rice, you can also add a baby tiger shrimp or Texas size grilled tiger shrimp to your order for only $4.95. You can also enjoy their tasty fajitas vegetarian style - on a siz zling skillet o f seasoned " fresh crisp" vegetables served with rice and flour tortillas. Tin Star also suggests their "came asada" - a mouthwatering, tender skirt steak trimmed of all fat and then perfectly prepared in their secret marinade. Grilled to order, you can choose from an 8 oz,, 12 oz,, 16 oz.. 20 oz. Texas T-Bone or filet Mignon 6 oz. wrapped in bacon. And if you think you're Texas enough, the staff at Tin Star chal lenges you to finish off their Tin Star Belly-Busier - if you finish the 76 oz. rib eye within 60 minutes, they'll pick up the tab. If you're not full enough yet, try one of their delicious homemade desserts, which include: Texas Style Mud Pie - Chocolate fudge ice cream topped with Khalua fudge and nestled in oreo cookie crust; or Deep fried ice cream - your choice of Vanilla or Chocolate, topped with honey. Tin Star also has daily specials, which include: Mondays - 20% off for Seniors: Tuesdays - Fajitas offered at 25% off; Wednesdays - A full rack of ribs with an 8 oz. steak, salad and your choice of potato and veg etable for $17.95; and Sundays - Prime Rib with Yorkshire pudding. The restaurant, with close to 100 seats, is the perfect place for a quick lunch or casual dinner with family or friends. You can also enjoy a margarita or martini on their 45-seat patio. Tin Star invites you to celebrate your special event with them - they can easily accommodate parties of 20. Gift certificates are also available. Tin Star Texas Grille is opened Monday - Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.. Friday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. So wrangle up your friends and visit Tin Star Texas Grille at 2319 Lakeshore Rd. E.
