Canadian Northern Land

The following letter has been received by the manager of the Merchants Bank from Reeve Willoughby and Mr. C.O. Thorn in regard to the Canadian Northern land recently purchased by a number of people in this vicinity:

Winnipeg, May 17th, 1906.
S.M. Scarff, Georgetown, Ont.

Dear Sir: After visiting head office, Winnipeg, of the Canadian Northern, we find that the second payment must be made on or before the 1st June. This payment can be paid into the Merchants Bank, Georgetown and left there on deposit until the committee are fully satisfied with their section. Please notify the people who are in syndicate to the effect of this arrangement.

P.S. We met two men who just came back today from there, and find out that we can get first class land.
