Description
Full Text

For some weeks the Council has been negotiating with the Grand Trunk regarding a new contract for water supply. The Council made an offer, with the assurance of G.T.R. officials that it would receive prompt consideration and if not accepted an offer would come from the G.T.R. No offer was received, however, and on Friday last a temporary pumping engine was installed and the Council ordered the supply from the town to be shoot off.
