Mr. C. Fred Grogan and Miss Eva Grogan of Brampton, are visiting friends in town.

Rev. R.J. Drysdale is spending this week at the home of his parents in Lanark, Ont.

Mr. Samuel Charters of the Brampton Conservator made the Herald a pleasant call on Monday.

Miss Pierce of Norwood who has been spending a month with friends in town returned home on Tuesday last.

Messrs. W. Birely, R.R. Barber, S.H. McGibbon and Sandy Campbell attended the races at Toronto on Saturday.

Mr. R.I. Creelman spent last week in Western Ontario in the interests of his business.

Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Wheeler and Miss Merle Galbraith, of Toronto, spent Saturday and Sunday at Mr. T.J. Wheeler's.

Mr. and Mrs. Gartley have returned home from Hamburg, where they were attending the funeral of Mr. Gartley's sister, Mrs. Nebell.

Mr. Andrew Arthurs intends leaving for the west on Saturday to take charge of a mission station near Yorkton. His numerous friends will wish him much success.

Mr. Ernie Cook is home from the School of Practical Science. He leaves in a few days for Alberta where he will spend the summer with a surveying party.

Mr. Neil Hunter, blacksmith, was kicked by a horse one day last week. Mr. Hunter, however, was too close to the animal to get the full force of the blow and his injuries were slight.

Mr. Arthur Drummond, who has been employed in the Herald Office for the past three years, left on Monday to take a situation in the job room of the St. Thomas Journal. The Herald wishes Arthur every success.
