The Oakville Beaver, Tuesday December 30, 2003 - B3 Rotary holds Day of Giving On Saturday, Jan. 31 the Rotary Clubs o f O akville and friends of Rotary will be lending a hand in Oakville for a project known as the Day o f Giving. Rotarians will be going into the homes o f seniors and others of limited means who need help with household tasks. These tasks will include house cleaning, snow shoveling, minor repairs, running errands, changing light bulbs, checking fire alarms, moving furniture and laundry. Rotary will contribute all o f the costs for supplies, transportation, etc. O akville residents with common household tasks that are beyond their physical and financial means are encouraged to register for the Rotary's Day of Giving. Registrations will be accepted from Monday Jan. 12 to Wednesday Jan. 28 by calling 905-827-3546. Founded in 1905, Rotary is a global network o f com m unity volunteers.
