It's a new men's wear store in downtown Oakville dial's owned by Joseph Diodati, so why is it called Jonathan Quinn? "My dad is Jonathan, so it's in honour of him, and my daughter's name is Emily Quinn (Diodati)," explained the shop owner. The store opened in early November at 249 Lakeshore Rd E. and is Diodati's second. "I have a store in Mississauga at the Erin Mills Town Centre. I've had it for three years, it has the same name. It was my first store," said Diodati. At age 44, the retailer said he's been in the business for nearly 30 years, having begun working part time at men's wear stores while at school, primarily those owned by the fashion retail giant Dylex Corporation. "I have a passion for it and the fire hasn't died down," said Diodati. Diodati also has a passion for Oakville. "I've been trying to get down here for 10 years," he said of his new store in the downtown. "I love Oakville. I'm familiar with it, I have a good base of Oakville customers and I always wanted to have a store here," he said His store manager and right-hand person for 18 years, Natasha Faria, lives in downtown Oakville. Diodati always told Faria to keep her eyes open for a store availability. The right place and right location opened up last summer and Diodati finally had his new Oakville store.
