Designed for aspiring musicians of all ages, Guitar Workshop Plus offers students a unique setting for intense musical and personal growth. By directing instruction to the student's personal style, level of experience, and musical goals, the program creates a healthy, non-competitive envi ronment in which to learn. Courses are offered for all levels (Beginner to Advanced), ages (12 through Adult), and styles including blues, jazz, rock, acoustic, and classical. The intensive bass, drum and keyboard courses cover many styles and afford students with many rhythm section and O A K V ILL E G A R T S C O U N C IL ensemble performance opportunities. Each day consists of morning and afternoon classes that involve a hands-on approach, late afternoon clinics (songwriting, improvisation, vocal, etc.), ensemble performances, and evening concerts. In addition to an outstanding faculty roster, the list of artists who have worked with the administration is truly astounding. Robben Ford, Andy Summers (The Police), Mike Stern, Lome Lofsky, Yngwie Malmsteen, Larry Coryell, John Knowles, and Scott Henderson are just a few of the world-class artists on this list. Owned and managed by two' graduates of Sheridan College's " School of Crafts and Design pro gram, Cicada Gallery explores many manners of mediums and materials including metal, textiles, glass, wood, ceramics, photography, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture. They also offer custom designing and commissions, design services and sourcing, corporate gifts and awards. Cicada also represents some of the most wellknown Canadian craftsmen, including Kim Simonsson, who won best in show at last year's Toronto Outdoor exhibition. They also work with Dave Samplonius, a furniture maker who is wellknown across the border in Chicago and New York, and Jason Cornish, who has had such illustrious S clients as Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson.
