Emergency services responded to a call at approximately 11 p.m. on Dec. 5 for a man who was found unconscious after cleaning a tanker car with sulfuric acid. Procor's headquarters in Oakville produce railway shipping cars. The man remained in intensive care for more than two weeks. He died Dec. 23, the Ministry confirmed to the Oakville Beaver . Both the Province of Ontario and Halton police are investigating the incident. William Lin, spokesperson for the ministry, said no official cause of death has been determined, but the probe of the accident continues. "We have not issued any additional order, but our investigation remains ongoing," he said. The Ministry investigation will include what led to the incident, potential hazards at the site and workplace health and safety law protocols.
