www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, January 8, 2015 | 4 Bronte residents welcome newly-opened rink by Graham Paine Oakville Beaver Staff The much-anticipated Bronte Heritage Park community ice rink is now open, to the delight of local residents. The rink, which opened less than a week ago, is one of nine outdoor facilities across Oakville where residents can lace up their skates. "For a long time, we've had an ice surface in Bronte," said Ward 1 Town Councillor Ralph Robinson. "I've talked with staff on several occasions about returning this rink to Bronte. We're happy that staff have made this commitment to the benefit of all area residents." Ward 1 Town and Regional Councillor Sean O'Meara said the rink demonstrates a unique partnership between local business, resident groups and the Town. "Just steps from Lake Ontario, the Bronte Creek and Bronte's fabulous shops, Heritage Park ice rink is truly Oakville's winter destination for residents of all ages," he said.
