Strictly Murder, written by Brian Clemens, is set in 1939. An English couple, Peter (played by Peter Churey) and Suzy (played by Nectaria Kordan), are living in isolated Provence, far it seems from the coming war. Their peace is shattered from within when Suzy discovers Peter is not the man he claims to be, that he may in fact be a ruthless killer on the run. Then, a Scotland Yard detective arrives and events become even more complicated and frightening. Lies, subterfuge and murder make this fast-moving thriller a dark and disturbing rollercoaster of bluff and double bluff. The Burl-Oak Theatre Group presentation is directed by Lana Borsellino and also stars Robert Laszcz as Josef, Carla Zabek as Miriam and Brian Baynard as Ross. Show times are Thursday, Jan. 15 to Saturday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $30, with discounts for students with ID, $5 for high school students and $20 for college students. Oakville entrepreneur has Golden Globe Awards all zipped up by Michael Gregory Oakville Beaver Staff An Oakville entrepreneur is hoping Hollywood celebrities walking the red carpet at this weekend's Golden Globe Awards never leave home `naked' again after finding her handcrafted jewelry in their swag bags. Shelley Bair, a pharmacist and self-described "tinkerer," has cleverly thought up a fashionable way for women to give their zippers a bit of sparkle and glam. "I tell people now whenever I look at a zipper that isn't dressed up, it looks so naked." Bair said. "Never leave your house naked." The mother-of-three's jewelry zipper pendant and matching earrings, made of 0.925 grams of sterling silver and Swarovski crys- tals, will make it into the hands of 60 A-list celebrities at Sunday's film and television awards hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. "It's really a cross-section of all of Hollywood getting something from little old Oakville," Bair said. The pendants are specifically designed to help women do up those hard-to-reach zippers on the back of their dresses, while also making a fashion statement at the same time. Bair is crossing her fingers that someone of the likes of nominee Re- Shelley Bair ese Witherspoon, or presenter Meryl Streep, might name-drop her company Zipsessory as the next big thing. "If, luckily, one of them mentions it, that would be great," Bair said. "All these (famous) ladies and I just need one of them to say this is a really cute idea." The same signature collection, that retails for approximately $200, will be handed out in swag bags at the MTV Movie Awards in April. "It's really crazy and exciting, and it's really far from what I'm used to," she said. The `ah ha' moment for Bair came a few years ago after buying a new pair of boots and finding the plastic loop for the price tag made it easier to do up the zipper. see Bair on p.24
