T O N E F U L T A L L Y 21 | Thursday, January 15, 2015 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com Halton.ca 311 Help shape the future of Halton for the next four years Every four years, the newly elected Halton Regional Council develops a plan that sets out its priorities and establishes its strategic direction. The draft Strategic Action Plan provides a starting point for discussion and guides the development of specific, measurable actions that can be implemented to achieve our long and short-term goals and objectives. Regional Council works in consultation with stakeholders to gather feedback on the areas that matter most to Halton residents and businesses. We invite you to provide your comments on the draft Strategic Action Plan at our upcoming roundtable meeting. Public Roundtable Meeting Halton Regional Centre Auditorium, 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville Wednesday, January 21, 2015 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Youths on Gladacres Lane, led by Tanya Moschella, go carolling for their neighbours at the holidays while collecting food items for Kerr Street Ministries (KSM). When the tally was counted this year, Moschella said they had collected 283 items. Pictured, resident Maria Stojanov listens to the singers. The event has become a tradition for Moschella and the neighbourhood as approximately 30 children, aged two to 11, and their families have formed The Angelic Gladacres Carolers. They share their gift of music and in return ask for canned goods to donate to KSM. This was their fourth annual event. Each year, they have surpassed their previous collection total. | photo by Eric Riehl Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog or facebook.com/HaltonPhotog) Strategic Action Plan 2015 2018 This session will be an opportunity to inform the deliberations of Council and comment on the directions recommended by regional staff.
