McCusker · Oakville Beaver Artists Ed Krahn and Sheila Creighton Hill display their own artwork as well as the recent works of Margaret Creighton at the Sovereign House. Artist's spirit alive in art show By Craig MacBride SPEC1LTO THE BEAVER A three-person art show at the Sovereign House in Oakville is sadly short one person. Artist Margaret Creighton died on July 12. However, as her daughter Sheila, who organized and also has work displayed in the show, said, "the show must go on. She would have liked us to go on with it." Margaret Creighton's work hangs on the north wall of the his torical house. A biochemist before retiring, Creighton's work reflects her love of calculated science. Very detailed drawings of animals, mostly strange animals like bongos and chameleons, are drawn in ink with great detail and care. The monochromatic ani mals are surrounded by whimsical colour that enhances the ani mals instead of drowning them out, as one would expect.
