The win avenged an earlier 63 preliminary round loss. O akville was also thrilled with the welcome they received, including O Canada before the opening and cham pionship games. Oakville received great pitch ing. Oakville received strong mid dle relief from Scott DeGroot. who gave up two quick doubles and a run, then equally as quick set down two Grove City batters, with two infield pop-ups, and a third out hard liner to second baseman Patch Channing. A.J. O 'Brodovich came on for the save in the seventh. He faced only four batters, striking out the first one, nicking the second for a free walk, then a liner to Sergio Lujan followed by a sizzler to third baseman Ryan Malhotra. and his hot throw to Daniel Keresteci at first base for the out.
