The indoor playground also has an infant/toddler area, rope climbing wall, trapeze bar stationary ladders, and open area for bike riding. With school in full swing and the cold weather soon approaching, the new Busy Bodies Indoor Playground is the perfect place for your little ones to let off a little steam. Busy Bodies, which opened on Sept. 2, is a fun place where children from the ages o f infants to 10 years old can spend a few hours, or even the day, interacting with other kids their age, developing their motor skills and just having a good time. Owners Josie and Miranda, who are both certified ECE teachers, say the response from parents and children has been wonderful. "We were in search o f something differ ent for kids and realized that there was noth ing geared to families with babies, toddlers and older children. We thought we would provide something for them," says Josie. "We've only been open four days and so far w e've had a bunch o f people bring their children to play. It's been a great response so far," adds Miranda. Busy Bodies is essentially one big play area that encompasses several different pieces o f equipment and setups to ensure your children have everything to keep them selves busy at play. And since it is a parental supervised playground, parents can take off their shoes and join in the fun! There is a special gated area for infants and toddlers to play with rattles, develop their motor skills on a climbing mat, ride on toys, push carts and interact with other chil dren their age. For older children, they can use their imagination and create their own world in the spectacular jungle gym at the play ground. Made o f colourful plastic, it is a great alternative to outdoor climbers to help keep kids busy when the colder weather hits. The spacious carpeted area is a great place for kids to get active by riding bikes and scooters, playing basketball and hula hooping. There is also a rope climbing wall, trapeze bar and stationary ladders to help develop gross motor skills. Bring out the little artist in your child during Busy B odies' Creative Day on Tuesdays, where they can draw and paint. Or, get their hands dirty with play-do, jello and water during Sensory Day every Thursday. Children o f all ages can partici pate. The fun doesn't end there...Busy Bodies also has two party rooms for special occa sions like birthdays. All you have to do is call and reserve a room and your child is on their way to an afternoon o f fun. Busy Bodies offers affordable rales, with a full day o f play for as low at $8. The play ground is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. and Saturday and Sunday for public play from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit Busy Bodies Indoor Playground at 245 Wyecroft Rd.
