The Hornets defeated the host Chiefs 3-1 in the final after posting 2-1 wins over the Burlington Barracudas and Mississauga, as well as a 0-0 tie with the Aurora Panthers, in the preliminary round. Hornets players Jules Collarile, Becca Lamme, Hannah Schelfhaut and Rene Urwin have helped Oakville win the tournament each of the past three years, and Michael Shelfhaut has coached the squad each time. Other members of this year's Hornets team are Rachel Zeliznak, Annie-Rose Johnson, Natalie Schneider, Alyssa Haylock, Kelly Hubbs, Sheila Murray, Marta Anielska, Kayla Corry, Danielle Alonso, Athena Soutos, Lauren Lebre, Bri Davis, Joelle Mason, Hannah Reidy, Giulia McGuire and Madison Seaver. The White Wolves and Black Panthers combined to outscore their opposition 53-1 to go undefeated in round-robin play. The White Wolves went on to win the atom DS championship, defeating the Mississauga Chiefs 2-0 in the final, while the Black Panthers took the bronze with a 3-2 victory over the Whitby Wolves in the third-place game.
