Two-time Juno Award-nominated singer Tanya Tagaq will be the guest speaker at The Dinner Party. The dinner, hosted by the Women of Halton Action Movement (WHAM) and the Zonta Club of Oakville, will be held Wednesday, March 4 at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre. One of the largest International Women's Day events in Canada, The Dinner Party is a fundraiser for Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services (SAVIS) and Canadians in Support of Afghan Women (CSAW). The Dinner Party, held to raise awareness of gender equality issues, has fundraised almost $250,000 for the two groups over 12 years.
