MyCancerIQ meant to help Ontarians understand personal risk factors The Mississauga Halton/Central West Regional Cancer Program is encouraging area residents to learn about their cancer risk through an interactive, online tool. My CancerIQ is meant to help Ontarians understand their personal risk factors for breast, cervical, colorectal and lung cancer. The tool will be demonstrated through a regional tour where residents can visit the experiential booth, talk to experts from the regional cancer program and learn about their own cancer risk. Cancer Care Ontario, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, created My CancerIQ to "empower Ontarians to be more proactive about their health," stated a news release issued by the Mississauga Halton/Central West Regional Cancer Program. The tool calculates a person's risk of developing breast, colorectal, cervical and lung cancer compared to other Ontarians of the same age and sex. Based on the results, it provides personalized recommendations for reducing cancer risk.
