"His hockey career is done -- he went from being on the ice five times a week (all the time) to nothing," she said. "It's important that I make it (Christmas) as enjoyable for the boys as possible," she said. "I think we were all shocked by the whole Christmas tree thing. It might sound trivial, but it really isn't." While the local family's attempt to share the holiday spirit with its new neighbours has been foiled, Christine said she is happy to share the season with her family in their new home and look forward to 2015. She said her oldest son has discovered a newfound interest in finance and the stock market. "He's had time to spend reading and educating himself," she said.
