"Today, we partner with other police services across the province to encourage our communities to be mindful and to take the time to protect their property and avoid financial as well as emotional costs of being a victim of crime," said Halton Police Chief Stephen Tanner. The OACP's annual crime prevention campaign focuses on crimes impacting Ontario residents and businesses, including: online fraud, identification theft and other cybercrimes, auto theft, break-and-enters, bullying, and elder abuse. A new crime prevention booklet is available through the OACP website and contains tips and information on protecting yourself.
