SOARES, Maria - Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, on Wednesday June 4th in her 91st year. Beloved Mother of Maria Valente and her husband Eduardo, Antonio Jose Melo and his Wife Lucy, and Maria Marino and her Husband Salvatore. Proud Grandmother of Carmine, Antonio, and Francesco Marino; Eduarda, Emanual, David, and Steve Valente; Carmine, Elio, and Elizabeth Melo. Maria was born on February 28th, 1923, she immigrated to Canada from Portugal in 1971 after the death of her husband Antonio Melo and took care of her three children on her own as a single mother. Friends may visit the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road, W. Oakville, Ontario, L6K 1C7 on Friday June 6th, from 4pm - 9pm. Funeral Service will be at St. Matthews Parish, 1150 Monks Pass, Oakville, Ontario on Saturday June 7th, 10:00am. Special thanks to the caring staff at Wyndham Manor and to DR. Patel and staff.
