LACHAPELLE, Hector On March 1, 2015 Hector Lachapelle, of Oakville, Ontario, age 75, retired from our world and was offered a high up permanent position, with 100% job security, and though it was short notice, it couldn't be turned down. Position to be held with his brother Richard, brother in law Don Teed, nephew in law Joe Chorney, and long time friend Harold Moon. His only responsibility is watching over loved ones until they are ready for hire, especially his favorite grandson Rodney. The perks abound; no sick days given, because none are needed, no deadlines to write the memoir so often spoken of, no hair cuts on expenses to approve, leave work anytime to play pool with no farm chores ever, bird feeders that never empty, every joke with a great punch line, and the latest tech gadget before anyone else. Every day is an endless game of hockey as the head coach. We imagine he is already hanging out with J.C playing poker; where every hand is a Royal Flush, and every bet a winner, no doubt regaling in stories of the time he won it big with his picture in the paper... we all know how he loved to tell stories. He will be remembered by many. Applications in waiting; his wife of 55 years, Noreen; their children Peter (Laura), Steven (Regina); their grandchildren, Jacqueline, Alanna, Rodney and Shaneza; sister Fern Teed (Dondeceased) and brother Laurier "Lory" Lachapelle (Audrey); sister-inlaw Helen Smith (Robert). Special nieces and nephews; god daughter Kim Paquette (Danny); Wayne Teed; Michael Lachapelle (Conni) and Sean Lachapelle (Isabelle); Anne Chorney (Joe-deceased), Bill Smith (Virginia), Robin Smith (Linda), and Michael Smith (Cindy), as well as many grand nieces and nephews. Special thanks are given to Joan Moon (Harolddeceased), and Stewart, Corina; Jessica and Ashlyn Proeller; Glenn Craney, Katharine Moon - Craney and Bronwyn Moon - Craney; Scott, Marie, Cameron and Lucas Chappel; and many friends and relatives, for all the help and support given in all times. Please join us for a celebration of life at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Saturday March 7th from 3-5 p.m. 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, Ontario (403 & Dundas St.). Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the New Oakville Hospital in Hector's memory at www.OakvilleHospitalFoundation.com ROSS, Dr. Anthony Leonard October 1, 1927 - March 1, 2015 Peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Anne for 63 years. Cherished father of Michael, Monica, Angela, Helen, Rachel, Sarah and Matthew. Loved Poppa to 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Born in Wellington, Shropshire, England, Anthony and his family immigrated to Canada in 1966 and settled in Oakville. Tony was a deeply respected family physician in England and Canada for over 50 years. His fascination with model railroads filled most of his spare time. Other interests included aviation, sparked by time early in his career as a doctor in the Royal Air Force in post war Britain. Later in life Tony developed an interest in sailing, spending time with family on Lake Ontario. A private burial has taken place. A service to celebrate Anthony's life and work will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds St., Oakville on Saturday, March 7th at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the St. Andrew's Parish Centre from 12:15 - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Myeloma Canada or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
