POCOCK, Sharon (nee Legg) M.ED. Passed away peacefully with her family at her side after a tremendous fight against leukemia on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Ian Anderson House. Sharon leaves behind her husband Robert of 51 years, sons Jeff (Lori) of Toronto, Justin (Kristi) of Burlington, her four angels Madison, Brooklyn, Reese and Annika, brother Gerry (Diane) of London and is predeceased by her daughter Christie, her mother Caroline and father Ken. Will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. It was through her personal grief that guided her to be a founding member of Bereaved Families established at Sick Kids Hospital, Toronto and then bringing that model to her hometown of Oakville where the service is still available today. She also spent years as a grief councilor at Halton Family Services helping families through a variety of difficult issues. Sharon received the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal for her outstanding contribution for bereaved families, a tremendous honour that her family was very proud of.
