The burger-and-ice-cream chain creator shared her secrets of success to a crowd o f about 140 at the M ayor's Small Business Week K ickoff Breakfast M onday at the Ram ada Inn & Convention Centre. She said new business owners need to endorse their product, and a big budget isn't needed to do it. "Business is people. Running a successful business is as sim ple as being devoted to the people around you. Have them be; advocates. Let them take your business to the next level," she said. Meehan said entrepreneurs need to expose their ideas to as many people as possible, especially people within a 3-5 block; radius. "These are the people who will becom e your cus tom ers." She suggests new entrepreneurs make introductions to mer chants, hand out coupons, contribute to charities and get out there and sell, sell, sell.
