This year's theme is "Favourite Christmas Carols" and our 55 entries and ten bands are sure not to disappoint. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16th, the parade will start at MacDonald and Reynolds Street, and run south along Reynolds to Lakeshore Road, running west to Navy Street and will proceed north bound to Rebecca, and then east to Kerr Street to finish at Stewart Street. The parade is organized and run by a dedicated group of volunteers from the com munity and is also supported by the Town of Oakville Parks and Recreation Staff. In order to bring this much anticipated event to Oakville each year, the organizing committee must raise the necessary funds themselves. November The operating budget for the parade is in excess of $10,000, which is donated solely by our sponsors. The Santa Claus Parade Committee wishes to thank all the sponsors which helped get Santa to town this year, with a special mention to our Gold Sponsors: Regency Care Developments, MOEN, Petro Canada and Upper Oakville Shopping Centre. In addition to financial contributions, the parade relies on services and products in-kind such as refreshments for our post-parade recep tion, transportation, and Steeplejack services. Of course, without volunteers on parade day, the parade would not be possible. Our warmest thanks to all those marshals, banner carriers, police officers and every one who gives a helping hand on parade day. The Santa Claus Parade truly is one successful community endeavour.
