www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, April 9, 2015 | 38 Oakville Masters Swim Club members dive in to support for adults with autism More than 100 members of the Oakville Masters Swim Club are diving into a onehour swim-athon in support of adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Today (Thursday), master swimmers, coached by Mette Novais, will be taking part in the fundraiser for Successful Options for Adults with Autism Re-envisioned (SOAAR). The Oakville-based, adult day program is dedicated to help high school graduates continue to learn, make friends and participate in the community. "The donations raised by the local swimmers will help SOAAR change the lives for more than 20 adults who currently attend the program, as well as other young adults with autism who might participate in SOAAR in the future," stated a news release issued by Oakville Masters Swim Club. The charity swim sessions will take place at White Oaks Pool, 1330 Montclair Dr., from 10 a.m.-noon and again in the evening.
