The 29-year-old stylist at the Oak Walk Drive locale recently claimed top spot in Canada in the regional round of The Look competition -- an annual company-wide event that pitted her against more than 20 stylists across the country. She will now head to the national finals in Las Vegas in May to showcase her hair-cutting skills and creativity alongside five other challengers working for the sports-themed hair care franchise for men and boys in the United States. "It was crazy, kind of unbelievable, but I was excited. I get to go to Vegas. It's awesome," said Parker, on winning the submission portion of the contest in her first attempt. "I've been hairdressing for 14 years and I've always liked the competition aspect of haircutting, so this was good because it was in my company." She said it's good recognition and a "good praise on your talent" because it was judged by prominent industry representatives. "It wasn't just our company judging, it was I will be the only Canadian representative. Let's hope I bring it home.
