Chantal Ayotte · Special to the Oakville Beaver TH E WITCHING HOUR APPROACHES: Oakville Museum at Erehless Estate invited youngsters to don their best Halloween garb for an afternoon of creepy crafts, contests and games. The Sunday afternoon event attracted a variety of scary and ghoulish costumes. Top, Witch Charlotte Hensby and Witch-A-GoGo Jaclyn Gray show they have what it takes to haunt a house. Threeyear-old pirate Griffin Hadfield, above left, tried to scare the Oakville Beaver photographer by pulling a very scary face. Four year-old Alexandra Daniel took a softer approach to Halloween by dressing as a cat. The youngster enjoyed making crafts with Q-Tips. The Beaver would like to remind motorists to be extra careful tomorrow night as children make their way from door to door in search of treats. And parents, please ensure your child can be easily seen in their costume and that they are able to move freely, safely and see clearly. fb A K -L A N D 1 FORD LINCOLN 570 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville attheq.e.w. 905-844-3273 www.oaklandfordlincoln.ca A Student's Filomena Capobianco BusinessPROF ILE some hands-on experience this semester. She is interested in pursuing work for a newspaper, tv media or ad agency. "I am having a great time at The Oakville Beaver and I'm excited and looking forward to learning more of the creative side of advertising here". In addition to providing temporary work experience, co-op placement can help students to make decisions about their future careers and gain confidence in making the transition from postsecondary education to the real world of work. We ask that our readers support the profiled businesses who made this project possible. This project allows you to "get to know" these business people from a student's perspective. By visiting their businesses, you support our youth and the co-op partnership.
