Fire ghters responded about 4:30 p.m. to the park's Upper Middle Road campground where they performed a high-angle rope rescue to rescue the man who had fallen approximately 20 feet. All the while clutching his dog, the man managed to grab onto a small branch, which prevented him from plummeting another 150 feet to the gorge below. That fall could have proved fatal, according to the re department. One of the rst to arrive on the scene was OPP Const. Rob Conant, who edged over the cliff to stabilize the man and prevent him from falling further. The man received minor injuries. "We're going to let that process unfold without any interference from me in the media. It's not helpful," Kathleen Wynne said in an interview at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton. Wynne was there to address members of three area chambers of commerce.
