T Spring into Peter Rabbit, 3D printing and Mother's Day fun at OPL his spring, Oakville Public Library is pleased to offer a number of new programs for children of all ages. If you can't attend the program on May 14, further sessions are offered throughout the summer. · The Tale of Peter Rabbit (May 30): At this very special event, Oakville Public Library and the Oakville Chamber Orchestra's String Quartet will present a musical reading of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, one of the most famous children's stories ever written. Children will experience this tale with their senses through words and music and have the opportunity to meet the musicians and ask questions about their instruments. Complimentary tickets to this all-ages event will be available at library branches beginning Friday, May 1. · Shakespearian Fun for Kids (June 5): Children aged eight to 13 with an interest in acting, history or writing will thoroughly enjoy the library's June PA Day programs. Participants will join the Shakespeare in Action theatre company for 75 minutes of Shakespeare fun. They will get to work with a professional actor and explore some of Shakespeare's most popular plays, such as Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Workshops cost $15 each and registration via iris is required.
