The chorus was formed in 1945 by a group of Dofasco employees with a shared love of singing. Today, the choir has more than 50 singers and has the reputation of being one of the "finest male choruses in the country," according to a media release. The group's repertoire ranges from folk to sacred, and classical to Broadway. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 1240 Old Abbey Lane. Tickets cost $20 per person and can be purchased online at amnestyoakville.eventbrite.ca or by emailing amnestyoakville@gmail.com or calling 905-844-4194. Light refreshments will be served. Proceeds from this event will go to Amnesty's human rights work.
