Loeb just completed the nal level for her ballet studies at the Royal Academy of Dance, so she's well aware of how the human body works. Studying kinesiology interests her. She will be paired with a researcher, if she chooses Western. "Learning about the body in my ballet classes has opened up another eld of interest for me," said Loeb, who spends ve hours a day in ballet training. But she knew she wanted to pursue a medical career after high school biology. "I really enjoyed learning about the body, so that is what in uenced me to do health sciences. I remember dissecting a fetal pig in Grade 11. That was cool," she said. Loeb is also a (piano) graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. "I've been working with my hands for a while, so I've thought about becoming a surgeon," she said. Regardless of which university she chooses, Loeb will have to say goodbye to her dance studies. "I nd ballet relieves some stress... the music is really a stress reliever for me. I guess I'll just have to dance in my dorm," said Loeb, who will soon graduate from the Oakville School of Ballet's professional program.
