The W.H. Morden Public School student, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), was afforded the chance to meet the Premier last Thursday (May 28) after emailing her office and simply asking if she wanted to hear him sing. "I have seen you on TV many times and I was thinking that you might feel lonely sometimes because of your busy job. So, I wanted to come to your office and sing a song for you that I think will make you feel good," Colin wrote in the email. Premier "so touched" by Colin's email The Premier's office responded to Colin and told him Wynne was "so touched" by his email and would like to meet him. In his letter, Colin tells Wynne how his father, Gord Brennan, was told his son would never learn to talk or be able to feel sad or bad for others because of his ASD. fiLm.CA AnD ArthouSe PreSent the SiGnAture SerieS royal Ballet: Swan Lake (G) Sun : 1:00 PM Wed : 7:00 PM Aloha (PG) Fri : 1:10, 3:30, 7:15, 9:35 Sat : 12:45, 2:50, 5:00, 7:15, 9:35 Sun : 12:45, 7:15, 9:35 Mon - Wed : 1:10, 3:30, 7:15, 9:35 thu : 1:10, 3:30, 9:35 Colin Brennan meets with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. My song might help you understand that it is OK to sometimes feel alone, but that it makes you also strong." Colin's visit included a private tour of the Provincial Legislature, in addition to meeting the Premier, whom he shared some of his CDs with. "This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Colin, who sings to raise awareness of autism. What a beautiful voice," Wynne tweeted on the day. 171 Speers Road, Oakville (at Kerr St.) | 905-338-6397 (MEWS) www.film.ca
