R.A. Hopkins Elected to O.T.F. Board Governors
Bronte Public School principal R.A. Hopkins is now a member of the Board of Governors of the Ontario Teachers' Federation.
Mr. Hopkins was chosen during a convention of 130 Teachers of Ontario early this month.
The Ontario Teachers' Federation is an organization of Teachers that meets with the Department of Education to discuss all problems pertaining to the education of children and is responsible in part for the setting of standards, etc.
Mr. Hopkins has taught 26 years as critic teacher for Toronto Normal Schools and 22 years as principal of graded schools.
Last year Mr. Hopkins was President of Halton Principal Association and in 1946 was President of Halton Teachers' Institute.
Joint study and discussion between the O.T.F. and Board of Education is partly responsible for the solving of many problems which arise in this modern era in education said Mr. Hopkins.
