Kelly Barchan notched the lone Ranger tally. The players, coaches and parents left Victoria Arena disappoint ed. But, everyone walked tall with the pride afforded to them by the season's hard, honest effort that fueled their long trek that saw them make it through to the fourth round of the OMHA playdowns. The team enjoyed ever-greater triumphs as each player devel oped and greatly improved throughout the year. A ringing cheer is sung to the generous sponsors, coaching staff, parents, the associated players and community at large for all their support. `Thanks' from the Rangers novice `AA' 2000/01: Kelly Barchan, Andrew Bertrand, Josh Butler, Michael Chase, Eric Chaisson, Lucas Currah, Jeremy DeFazio, Matthew Feric, Curtis Gamble, Bradley Gillies, Jake Jagodkin, Taylor Kirton, Andrew McGuire, Lachlan Neal, Michael Pavan, Reid Stevens and Stefan Thompson. appear weekly I*0RK LOIN CHOPS Economy Pack Contains in our Sunday 3 Rib & 3 Tenderloin Cut edition. *1 .9 9 lb V 4 .3 9 k g Amy Parps 125, 148, 177 Jodi Parps 146, 157, 177 Jessica Cyr 210, 156, 166 Michelle Pike 213, 221, 205 Emily Neilson 150, 102, 105 Michelle Cator 129, 78, 114 Ryan Illingworth 154, 95, 127 Adam Alexander 138, 156, 131 Senior division Chris Kusmider 118, 195, 142 Danny Pike 236, 223, 216 Kris Pike 189, 159, 261 Crystal Pickard 126, 121, 126 Ashley Ryan 144, 170, 158 (March 3) Peewee division Zack MacKenzie 69, 94 - 163 Ryan Watson 127,97 - 224 Alex Cangemi 9 5 ,9 0 - 185 Jacob Taylor 52,41 - 93 Katrina Choquette 81, 74 - 155 Kathleen Loranger 68, 66 - 134 Connor Briggs 96, 94 - 190 B antam division Hilary Turnbull 151, 170, 132 - 453 Tommy Gaunt 130, 112, 126 - 368 Erin Brewer 76, 117. 85 - 278 Justus Choquette 91, 95, 109 - 295 Brandon Pike 275, 192, 177 - 644 Nicholas Kosterman 92, 74, 133 - 299 Dillon Loranger 74, 70, 71 - 215 Will Cator 103, 100,90 - 293 Trevor Snell 118, 206, 110 - 434 Matthew Auger 115, 117, 114 - 346 Loblaws Trafalgar Ridge ULobiaws South Oakville MAXWELL INSTANT COFFEE 150-200 g jar SIRLOIN TIP ROAST Boneless cap off (AAA) Only the best *2.99 > MORGAN S *2.99 b J o b e y r& Maplegrove Shopping Centre M G R Oakville Place Will 6-2 record be good enough? Oakville posted an impressive 4-1 win in the championship game, and it was their second successive win over previously undefeated Windsor. Oakville blasted out to a 3-0 lead before Windsor got on the board, but then Oakville put a stop to any possible come-back by quickly countering with their fourth and final goal. Oakville goals were scored by Justine Bernier, Kaitlyn Wheeler, Melissa Kennedy and Taylor Metcalfe. Assists went to Laura Pendlebury, Stephanie Dvemechuk, Alyssa Molfetta, Justine Bernier, Megan Cordeiro and Melanie Johnson. Determined to do something about their lack of a tournament medal this year, Oakville opened up the tournament with a solid 2-0 Friday night victory over Sarnia Starfires. Goals were scored by Kaitlyn Wheeler and Justine Bernier. Melissa Kennedy nabbed an assist. The game featured solid play by the defensive unit of Brittany Court, Meagan Cordeiro, Sarah Curry, Natalie Oreskovich and Stephanie Deverchuk and a strong shutout performance by goalie Jessica Toth Saturday morning matched the Hornets against the hometown Barracudas, the only team in the tourna ment that Oakville had seen before. Although Oakville outplayed Burlington, goals were hard to come by and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Oakville's lone goal was scored by defenceman Brittany Court, unassisted. In the final round robin game, Oakville hooked up for the first time with Windsor who were undefeated with a championship berth already guaranteed. Oakville still needed points to advance, and they took no prisoners, win ning 6-0 with Jessica Toth recording her second shutout of the tourney. Oakville's goals and assists went to Kaitlyn Wheeler (3g), Megan Cordeiro (lg, la), Caroline Davies (lg, la), Madeleine McCann (lg), Sarah Curry (2a), Taylor Metcalfe (la), Natalie Oreskovich (la) and Alyssa Molfetta (la). - ·· 4oJ~J123 *·99 *.97 ea 579 Kerr St. Organic Sponsorship Opportunities Still Available limited Space www.playersballhockey.com Dundas St. E.
