Sparks flew as great weather and attractions took Wednesday's Canada Day celebrations at the Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park beyond expectations with an estimated 65,000 people visiting, said Bronte BIA (Business Improvement Area) Executive Director Ann Sargent. People even arrived early and Sargent credited the Frozen Ice Queen and Princess Show at 11 a.m. There were bouncy castles, food and merchandise vendors and entertainment as hundreds showed up wearing red-and-white. Fireworks, deemed to be the best display yet, were the big attraction and capped off the party by lighting up the harbour at 10 p.m. Pictured, at far left, Michelle Adams.
