Held at The Meeting House, 2700 Bristol Circle, at 7 p.m., the concert will feature children's songs, traditional spirituals and gospel favourites. Admission is free but donations will be accepted in support of the African Children's Choir programs, such as education, care and relief and development programs. The choir is a non-profit, humanitarian and relief organization dedicated to helping Africa's most vulnerable children. Music for Life (MFL) -- its parent organization -- works in seven African countries, such as Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. It has educated more than 52,000 children and impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people through its relief and development programs during its history, according to a media release. The African Children's Choir has performed before presidents, heads of state and most recently Queen Elizabeth, for her diamond jubilee. The choir has also sung alongside Paul Mc- Cartney, Annie Lennox, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey and Michael W. Smith, among other music artists. In addition, it has recorded some tracks with Sarah Hickman for a CD titled, Love is a Journey, and will have a small role in the upcoming Pan film starring Hugh Jackman.
