Clara was a lifelong resident of Oakville after her and Arpad escaped Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian revolution in October of that year. She was a young woman of eighteen years old, so much was the need for freedom. They would be married eight weeks later at St. Elizabeth of Hungary church on Spadina Street in Toronto, just before the midnight mass. She worked 27 years at Extendicare in Oakville as a nurse's aide after receiving her certificate from Sheridan College while attending night school. Her whole life centred around her husband and children, she was the glue that kept the family strong. Her guidance and wisdom was freely given to anybody within or outside of the family. She will never be forgotten. A very special thanks to the staff of OTMH ICU and especially the nurses of 3 East. Cremation has taken place, visitation and celebration of life will be held at a later date with friends and family.
