The incarcerated individuals will have to contact supporters to raise "bail" money to pay for their release. All funds raised at the event will support Crime Stoppers of Halton so it can continue to pay out tip rewards and educate the community about the Crime Stoppers program. Crime Stoppers allows people to report criminal activity with guaranteed anonymity. Crime Stoppers of Halton is a community volunteer charitable organization separate from Halton police. It does not subscribe to call display, record phone calls, and all text and web tips are encrypted. Crime Stoppers of Halton offers rewards of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest. "We wanted to have something different you wouldn't see anywhere else. That's why we had so many loyal customers." She noted she is going to miss the faithful customers and employees who really helped create a community feel within the store. "We had a trust system and we let people take home the merchandise and try it before buying it," she said, noting she had developed great relationships with her customers. Prescott said what she'll miss the most is being able to help women put together a great outfit. "I enjoy making people feel good about themselves," she said, noting some women would come in, unsure and insecure about the way they dressed. "My favourite part was always like dress-up. "Barbette is truly thankful to the community and our clients for supporting us all these years," she added. "We'll miss them all." The trio said they'll also miss being part of the community of merchants in downtown Oakville who have always supported one another.
