This year's show, April 27 to 28, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, will feature seminars, advice from experts and aisles of product and service exhibits, and lots of jazz. A new Friday night concert will jazz up the weekend with a line-up of inter national jazz all-stars led by Canadian rock `n' blues artist Jeff Healey and the swing sounds of the ever-popular Toronto All-Star Big Band. The concert, at 7 p.m., features the 23-piece band of young people between the ages of 15 and 22 who authentically recreate the sounds of the big band era of the 1930s to the 1950s, followed by Healey and his jazz crew. Tickets for the concert are $15 in advance by calling 905-815-0017, Ext. 448. They will also be available Friday at the show for $18. Back by popular demand are the Second Career Workshops with Mitch Lenko, director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Corporate Development at Centennial College, at 11 a.m., both days. How to Cook a Kumquat and other use ful tips for more than 100 fruits and veg etables (Macmillan 1999) will have tips, trivia and know-how, at 11 a.m., both days. Wine columnist Alex Eberspaecher will discuss choosing the right wine for the occasion, with tasting samples from Euro Vintages International, at 2 p.m., both days. And gardening expert Art Drysdale, a specialist in the use of small spaces such as patios and balconies and author of Gardening O ff the Ground, shares tips at noon, both days. As well, Forever Young's popular Discovery Tours to active adult, lifestyle communities across the province, will be signing up participants for two free day tours to Wellington-on-the-Lake and Starward Homes communities in Ancaster plus a three-night excursion to Ontario's retirement haven Elliot Lake.
