This $53.9-million price tag, does not include HST and covers the structural costs of the total $65-million construction project. When information technology, computer and radio systems, insurance and other costs are added in, the project cost reaches the $65 million budgeted by Halton Region for the endeavour in January. The 34,000-square-foot structure will manufacture fuel channel end- ttings and liners for CANDU nuclear reactors and employ 40 people when it becomes fully operational early next year.
