All candidates for the Oakville and Oakville North--Burlington ridings were in attendance with the exception of Oakville Green Party candidate David Doel, who cancelled earlier in the day due to a personal matter. While Oakville North--Burlington Libertarian candidate David Clement was not invited to the table as a so-called fringe candidate, he was in the audience. Clement also responded to all debate questions on Twitter. Infrastructure Asked about the top local infrastructure needs and what candidate would do to meet them, Oakville North--Burlington Green Party candidate Adnan Shahbaz noted the importance of investing in transit locally. "One of the main things I would really like to work on is building a bus route along Dundas from Guelph Line at the (Hwy.) 407 carpool lot, all the way across to Sheridan College in Mis- sissauga, and make that into a bus rapid-transit route," he said. "I know it is part of the plan for Metrolinx, but it is not coming for about another 60 years. That's way too far away," said Shahbaz who supports the introduction of high-speed rail.
