The yo u th s, w ho can n o t be named under the Young O ffenders A ct, w ere arrested T hursday evening follow ing an investigation by the H alton R egional Police 2 D istrict Robbery Unit. Both teens - one 15-years old, the other 14 - are facing tw o counts of robbery, tw o counts o f w earing a disguise and two counts o f weapon dangerous. The first robbery occurred on June 21 around 10 p.m. when two suspects w earing bandannas oyer th e ir faces en tered W est Oak C onvenience Store, 2251 W est Oak Trails. One held a knife to the throat o f the male clerk while the other g u ard ed the door. T hey then obtained a quantity o f m oney and m ade the em ployee lay on the floor as they left. The second robbery occurred on W ednesday around 11 p.m. when a m asked person entered West Oak Variety Store, 2690 W est Oak Trails. He p ro duced a knife and dem anded m oney from the lone m ale clerk. A second suspect came in and took c ig a re ttes as the em ployee turned over a quantity of cash.
