Trivia, Fun, Pub and Grub Night raises awareness of rare lung disease The local chapter of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada is hosting its second annual Trivia, Fun, Pub and Grub Night Saturday, Nov. 7. The fundraiser, which falls during Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month, starts at 5 p.m. at the Pic-a-Deli Restaurant, 670 Fourth Line. The event features teams testing its members' knowledge on current events, pop culture, history and other categories. Tickets cost $15 per person and will be available at the door. All proceeds will support public awareness campaigns, advocacy, education programs and patient support provided by Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada. Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a rare, debilitating disease in which high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs can lead to heart failure. Last year's event raised more than $16,000 towards the cause. The evening will also include door prizes, a silent auction, and 50/50 tickets, as well as a cash bar.
