"It also helps to prevent the spread of the virus to those who are vulnerable to complications of the u. The u immunization is recommended for all those six months of age and older," stated the release. In addition to clinics offered throughout the region, there will be one Dec. 10 at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Rd., from 4-8 p.m. Another will be held there Jan. 14, 2016. Flu immunizations are also available at many pharmacies for those aged ve years and older, in doctors' of ces, walk-in clinics and at some workplaces. Vaccinations are the best way to protect against the u, according to the Region's health department. Other preventative measures include: coughing and sneezing into your sleeve, washing hands with soap and water or using an alcohol based hand rub, and staying home when sick.
