Funding available for community projects

The Halton Healthy Community Fund is now accepting proposals for worthwhile, community-based projects promoting health in 2006. A public information session to find out about criteria to qualify for funding, how to complete the proposal and to hear about success stories will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 7-9 p.m. in the Halton Hills Civic Centre. To register call 905-873-2601, ext. 2261. The information session will also provide details on the Municipal Assistance Program, the Trillium Foundation, and Communities in Action Fund, through the Ministry of Citizenship, Culture, Tourism and Recreation.
