Are you having trouble managing daily activities in your own home, or think that it will become more difficult in the near future? If you are considering Supportive Housing, fill out your application NOW. The general wait list for an apartment at 17 Elizabeth Dr. in Acton, can be as long as 3-5 years. Seniors shopping trip In Acton, shopping trips for seniors are coordinated monthly to assist seniors Telephone reassurance program Volunteers call seniors daily to provide a safety check and regular social contact. This is a great program for someone living alone; if the senior does not answer, a contact person will be notified to ensure the client's safety. A volunteer is matched with a client who has similar interests, which allows both to get to know each other and offer companionship. with their shopping needs. These bus trips are held on the third Tuesday of every month. Trips alternate between Stone Road Mall in Guelph and Georgetown Market Place and cost $10 and $8 respectively. If you would like to go shopping, call Terri at 519-853-3310.
