March was a rewarding month for the owners of Andrews' Scenic Acres and Scotch Block Winery. Scotch Block Winery had another successful showing at the 23rd annual Toronto Wine and Cheese Show by capturing three awards. The local winery won Best of Show-- Regal Black Currant dry wine; Silver-- Cassis Black Currant dessert wine and Bronze-- Desire Late Harvest Black Currant Signature Series. Exhibitors showcase wine from Canada as well as from around the world. This well-known wine competition has both industrial and professional judges. Winemaker Fred Bulbeck and farm owner Bert Andrews were honoured to have achieved such a showing. "These fine results are only possible with a team effort from many different winery staff," said Bulbeck and Andrews in a press release. The combined farm market and winery business was also chosen Business of the Month in March by the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce.
