Teenage ten-pin bowler Katie Moroney of Georgetown recently placed sixth in the junior girls' division (12-14 yrs.) at the provincial championships held at Prime Time Bowl in Burlington. The Christ the King student first rolled six regulation games and after qualifying in the top eight overall, the format switched to seven games of match play. The 15-year-old Moroney has been based out of Brunswick Bramalea for the past nine years and carries a 170 average. She also tried out for Team Ontario in the open girls' category (21 yrs. & under), finishing 11th.
