Wunderkid guitarist to perform in Toronto on Saturday

Talented 13-year-old guitarist Chris Cotton of Georgetown will perform with the Bluesers, a blues band, at the Silver Dollar, 486 Spadina Ave. in Toronto on Saturday, June 10, 9-9:40 p.m. The Centennial School student has recently returned from the NXNE, a world-renowned international blues challenge in Memphis Tennessee. The Bluesers were the sole Canadian representative in the competition and Chris was the youngest guitarist in the 22-year history of the event. The Bluesers consist of three family Cotton members at its core: Chris, Mike Cotton Jr. (age 16) on drums, also one of the youngest performers at NXNE, John Cotton on bass and Mike Branton, on guitar and vocals, and who is one of the top players on the Toronto scene.
